This year’s Conflux Festival dives deep into the human-machine dichotomy and its antithesis of symbiotic machine-human forms of existence. In a four-day program the festival explores how modes of perception inform sentience and how they are likely fundamental to its emergence. Through conferences, exhibitions, performance programs and club nights, the program conducts empirical research on how we as humans perceive the world around us and how we relate to the machine world. By interacting with zones of light, sound and movement the Conflux festival aims to push the boundaries that are broad, muddied, and not yet well-defined, making this exploration essential and exciting with unknown outcomes.
